Caitlyn Fennell, 24, of LaPorte passed away on March 17, 2017, in South Bend.  She was born on February 6, 1993, in LaPorte, to William Fennell and Kimberly (Walker)  Ken Shores.  Caitlyn graduated from Westville High School in 2011 and was attending engineering school at Purdue Northwest and was in the PNW Engineering Club.  During high school, she was a member of the Academic Honor Society, a 4 star varsity athlete in basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and softball.  Caitlyn was also our beloved WHS 2011 Homecoming Queen and was inducted into the WHS Hall of Fame for softball in 2013 She is survived by; her parents and step-father Kenneth Shores of Laporte, and siblings Stephanie Shores of LaPorte, Christina Walker of LaPorte, Jacob Shores of Florida, Gage Fennell of LaPorte, and Kaven Shores of LaPorte.  She is also survived by grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Newhard Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 at the funeral Home with Rev.
