Cookie (Catherine) June Hennings nee Ponda, 77 of Westville, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016.  She was born June 15, 1939 in Gary, Indiana to Manuel and Lottie (Szostek) Ponda. Catherine is survived by her children, Susan Hennings, Kathy (Craig) Nelson, Patti (Norman) Foster, James W. (Kelly) Hennings Jr.; her grandchildren, C.J. and Anthony Nelson, Samantha (Gus) Radke, Caitlin and Dakota Foster, James D. Hennings and Katie Jarka; and her great grandson Simon Radke. Eleven brothers and sisters also survive her.  In addition to her husband James W. Hennings Sr., she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Catherine was retired from Continental Can. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 23rd at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Portage.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
