Eugene F. Czarnecki, 86, of Westville, passed away, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Michigan City.  He was born June 28, 1931 to Frank and Josephine Czarnecki in South Bend.  On January 30, 1954 in South Bend, he married Marilyn Campbell who passed away August 28, 2013.  Eugene is survived by his sons Donald F. (Iva) Czarnecki of Charlotte, Michigan, James P. Czarnecki of Westville, and two granddaughters Emily and Kasey and great granddaughter Candice. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Deanna Carpenter in 1996, two grandsons, one granddaughter, and two sisters Christine and Agnes.  Eugene attended Westville United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and had retired from U.S. Steel. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 22nd at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville Pastor Cathy Allison will officiate.  Visitation with the family will take place from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
