Harry R. Blastick, 90 of Union Mills, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017.  He was born May 29, 1927 in Valparaiso to Martin and Mary (Skowronski) Blastick. On February 5, 2011 he married Rosaline J. (Holzapfel) Beahler who survives.  Also surviving are his children John Bradley Spencer (Kathy), Jerome Spencer, Vicki Sipich, Susie Rinker (Don), Sherry Shei (Jim), Teri Wozniak (Tom), Lisa Rosenbaum (John), 18 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, special friends Professor Cameron Covert (Boyce), Dave Sipich (Barb), and Rosie’s nephew Kevin Snook (Sheila).  Preceding him in death are his first wife Mary Blastick, his grandson Bradley John Spencer II, his brothers Joe, Frank, Jake, Ed and Mose and his sisters Mame Fitzgerald and Margaret Blastick.  Harry was a WWII Airforce veteran, 82nd Airborne. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah.  Harry enjoyed golfing with Dave Sipich (Barb). He was an airplane pilot and built two airplanes that are still being flown today. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, June 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah.  Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville.
