James F. Colvin, 83, of Westville, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his home.  He was born December 31, 1933 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Ethel (Almond) Colvin.  On September 12, 1964, he married the love of his life Cleone Walker who survives.  Also surviving him are his children Brian Colvin of Michigan City, IN; Kelli (Geoff) Lo of Granger, IN., and his son-in-law Nathan Rohrer; his brother Robert Albert of Culver, IN; grandchildren Jon and Michael Colvin, Maddy and Hannah Rohrer, Katie and Avery Lo. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Lori Colvin Rohrer and his mother and step father Homer Albert. He was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.  James was a retired electrician from NIPSCO where he worked for 44 years. Jim enjoyed his retirement and spent his time building model airplanes, buzzing around town on his W

hizzer bike, and loved working on engines of any type. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, built handicapped ramps for Catholic Charities. The highlight of every year was the annual family camping trip.  Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Saturday, April 29th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Rev. Ray Music will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of services on Saturday.  Burial will be in Westville Cemetery.
