James Moser, 82, of LaPorte, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Michigan City. He was born on July 31, 1934 in LaPorte, to Christian Benjamin and Hilda May (Emmert) Moser. James is a Navy Veteran and was a salesman in advertising for many years. He was a member of the Westville American Legion Post #21 and enjoyed trimming his hedges and watching the Chicago Bears. James is survived by his children Stacy (John) Nolan of Westville, Karen Steif of Valparaiso, Shae (Carl) Taylor of LaPorte and Jae Moser of South Bend. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary Louise Warnock, Donnabell Harriet Hannon, and Harold “Midge” Moser.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Newhard Funeral Home 58 W. Walnut Street, Westville, IN from 5:00-6:00PM with a memorial service to follow at 6:00PM.
