Kathleen A. Sarver, 71 of Michigan City, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Michigan City.  She was born May 14, 1946 in LaPorte, to Joseph and Willo (Wilcox) Corish.  On October 27, 1973 in Michigan City, she married John D. Sarver who passed away April 15, 2010.  Kathy is survived by her daughters Michelle (Eldon) Miller of Granger, Heather (Jeff) Nieman of Michigan City, stepdaughters Bobbie (Mark) Flotow of LaPorte, Tamara Fuller of Niles, Michigan 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and her sister Karen Urbanski of Michigan City.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and her granddaughter Adalyn Rose Nieman.  Kathy was  retired from Michigan City Beauty College where she taught for 20 years there.  Later she worked for the Westville Correctional Center and retired from there after 15 years of service.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Rev. Albert Stutzman will officiate.  Burial will be in Pinhook Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-7 PM on Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
