Thomas Lemmon Obituary

Thomas G. Lemmon 80, of Westville, passed away Saturday, April 7,2018 at home. He was born February 25, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to Forest George and Lydia (Williams) Lemmon. In 1995 he married his wife Ellen Lemmon who passed away September 12, 2012. Tom is survived by his children; Robert (Kathy) Lemmon of Dawson, Illinois, Charlene (Tom) Govert of Schererville, Indiana, Carolyn Scurlock of Gary; his sisters Mary Kestle of Valparaiso, Ruth Nehemiah of LaPorte, Betty (Jim) Vogel of Texas and his brother Jim Lemmon of Westville. Six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive him. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John. Tom is a retired welder.  He was a member of the Christadelphian Church in LaPorte and was a member of Agape in Action; an organization that sponsors children in Africa to support education and other needs they may have. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 12th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Graveside services will follow at Pinhook Cemetery where burial will take place. Brother Josh Lemmon will officiate at the graveside.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agape in Action, P.O. Box 146, Three Rivers, CA  93271.
