Dolores Jeffers Obituary

Dolores H. Jeffers, 86 of LaPorte, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Valparaiso. She was born July 17, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Romeo and Theckla (Dienethal) Rochon. On December 16,1959 in LaPorte, she married Roger G. Jeffers, Sr. who passed away September 22, 1986. Dolores is survived by her daughters Diane (Donald) Killingbeck of Bloomington, Indiana, Gail Pement-Frain of Chesterton, Roxane (Dietmar) Knappe of LaPorte, Shirley Jo (Chuck) Trasher of Bloomington, her sons Clyde (Abigail) Newsome of Omaha, Nebraska, Roger (Linda) Jeffers, Jr. of LaPorte, 15 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Per her request there are going to be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery. The Newhard Funeral Home in Westville is in charge of arrangements.
