Emmett Flemming Joseph

Emmett Flemming Joseph, 79 of Westville, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Valparaiso.  He was born March 14, 1939 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Clarence and Lola (Wireman) Joseph.  On June 16, 1979 in Michigan City, he married Clover Gale (Moon) Hyatt who passed away, July 4, 2014. Emmett is survived by his children Tammy Joseph Parkerson of San Pierre, Duane Eddy Joseph of Knox, Keith Evan Hyatt of Westville, John Raymond Hyatt of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, his grandchildren Matthew, Christine, James, Emma, Travis, Derrek, Tiffany, and Jesse; his great grandchildren Jesse, Jilliyan, Joselyn, Michael, Graceland, Owen, Joseph, Adrian, Isaac, Mason, Matthew, Ethan, Evan and Jack.  Also surviving him are his brothers and sisters Ruby, Omer, Janet, Sharon, Larry and Lonnie. Preceding him in death also are his son David Eric Joseph, his parents and siblings Delos, Alamo, Loretta, and Charles. Emmett was a U.S. Navy veteran. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, July 13th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1-4 PM at the funeral home.
