Michael J Kobos Jr.

Michael J. Kobos Jr., 83, of Otis, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018.  He was born on May 29, 1935, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Michael and Helen (Witek) Kobos Sr.  Michael owned and worked as a farmer on the family farm.  He is survived by his sister Mary Kulasa of Rolling Prairie.  Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and siblings Stanley Kobos, John Kobos, Casimir Kobos, Cecelia Nowatzke, Angelina Gorski, Frances Piotrowski, Theresa Boehnlein, and Stella Hahn.  A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, September 27th, 2018, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, at Newhard Funeral Home, and on Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 9:15 A.M.  A rosary service will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 28th, at 10:30 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis, IN.  Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Otis. Michael had requested that no flowers be sent, but donations be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
