Michael Stephen Long passed away suddenly on July 4, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City, Indiana. Michael was born on February 20, 1955 in Flushing, New York to James Joseph Long and Margaret Rita Long (Brennan). He married Ingrid Agieyeff on May 22, 1976. He has worked in finance and investments for multiple institutions through out his life. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and proud Papa. He will be missed dearly. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Long, and his father, James Long. Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ingrid Long (Agieyeff), his only child Josephine Kaufman (James), his two brothers, James Long (Lois) and Thomas Long (Ruby), his three grandchildren Isabella, Sebastian and Jacob Kaufman, along with three nephews and a niece. A Christian Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Otis, Indiana at 10 am on Monday, July 10, 2017 with a gravesite service and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Knights of Columbus designated for Seminarian Education. Donations can be made at any Catholic Church of your choosing. All arrangements are being handled by Newhard Funeral Home in Westville, Indiana.
