Olga Salinas, 88, of LaPorte, passed away on November 30, 2017.  She was born on April 6, 1929, in Laredo, Texas, to Gregorio and Aurelia (Salinas) Pena.  Olga was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Gary. She enjoyed working on word puzzles, listening to Mexican music, and dancing.   She is survived by her children, Gisela (James) Baker, Tom (Charlotte) Salinas, Edna (Frank) Palmere, Margarita (Ramiro) Salinas, Irene Salinas, and Linda (Mark) Green.  She is also survived by her sister Yolanda Bustamante, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Olga (John) Meeks.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville, from noon until 3:00 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
