Ruth Edna (Carter) Egener

Ruth Edna Egener, 56 of Westville, passed away on November 2, 2019 in LaPorte. She was born on May 23, 1963 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Kenneth and Miriam "Cookie" (Cox) Carter. On May 5, 2005 in Valparaiso, she married Dwayne Egener. She graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1981. Ruth then worked over 10 years as a C.N.A for companies such as Life Care, Whispering Pines, Canterbury, and private home care. She also spent 5 years as a florist at Wiseway and 14 years as a homemaker. Ruth is survived by her husband; sons Michael M. (Rhonda) Pavlick of Michigan City, Matthew M. Pavlick of Michigan City; and brothers George (Susan) Carter of Valparaiso and James Carter of West Lafayette. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer H. Pavlick, parents, and her first husband Michael Pavlick. A visitation for Ruth will held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville from 4-8 PM and one hour to the funeral service.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 16, 2019 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM
