Stanley Casimer Rudziewicz, 89, of Michigan City, passed away, Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born May 7, 1928 in Michigan City to Casimer and Beatrice (Przbylinski) Rudziewicz. On May 5, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis he married Phyllis Schmidt who survives. Stanley is also survived by his sons Dr. David Rudziewicz of Chicago, Scott (Jodi) Norman of Michigan City, his granddaughter Miranda (Larry Sheets) Norman, of Michigan City, great grandson Nolind Sheets, and Aunt Clara Celebucki of Michigan City. Preceding him in death are his parents, and brother Richard David Rudziewicz. Stanley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis and the Altar and Rosary Society there, the Westville Lions Club and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. He was a Korean Conflict Army veteran and retired from the South Shore Railroad where he was a conductor for 38 years. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, November 27th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis. Rev. Mick Kopil will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 PM to 7 PM on Sunday at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. A vigil service will be at 4:00 PM Sunday and services by the Westville Lions Club will be at 6:30 PM, both at the funeral home.
