Carol A. (Cummins) Grott

Carol A. Grott, 80 of Union Mills, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in LaPorte.  She was born August 23, 1939 in Hebron, Indiana to Russell and Sophia (Hynek) Cummins.  On June 7, 1958 in LaPorte she married Albert Grott who passed away October 12, 2017.  Carol is survived by her children Christine (James) Forrester of Florida, Roger (Judy) Grott of Union Mills, Teresa (Mark) McDermot of Michigan City, and Jeff (Gloria) Grott of Union Mills; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and her brother Chuck (Bonnie) Cummins of Michigan City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.  Carol worked for the State Welfare Dept. for many years and also drove a school bus for South Central Schools for several years before retiring. She was a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society. Private visitation and services are being held.  Burial will be in Union Mills Cemetery.
