Cheryl J. Albert 84 of LaPorte, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021. She was born August 25, 1936 in Pontiac, Illinois to Bernard and Elsie (Worden) Behnke. On August 24, 1957 she married Arthur “Ron” Albert who survives. Also surviving are her son Michael (Lisa) Albert of Westville, her grandson Brady Albert of Westville and special grandson Aaron Lachiewicz of Westville. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents. She was president of the Westville Historical Society. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 17th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Long time family friend Bill Hunsley will officiate. Followed with private family burial at Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation for Cheryl will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
