Edward L. Forney 64, of Westville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 in Boulder, Colorado. He was born March 8, 1956 in LaPorte to Elwood and Ida (Born) Forney. On August 7, 1976 he married Kathryn A. Skibbe who survives. Ed is also survived by his children Paul (Jamie) Forney of Westville, Emily (Angela Stark) Blasio of Westville, and Abigail Forney of Boulder, Colorado; his grandchildren Malik, Jocelyn, Lucas, Emmalyn, Kayla, Zachary, Madison, and Livia; great granddaughter Mya and special daughter Kristen (Eric) Moore of Brazil, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Forney, his parents and his sister Diane Forney. Ed was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis, the Westville Volunteer Fire Dept. since March of 1977, I.B.E.W. Local #531 since 1978, and a member also of the Lakeshore Indiana High School Bowling Conference and coach for the Westville team. Visitation for Ed will be on Friday, January 15th from 2-8 PM at the Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. It is asked that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced as much as possible. Due to COVID 19 concerns a Mass of Christian Burial will be private. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery in Otis. Memorial contributions in memory of Ed can be made to Angela M.
