Gladys Mae (Thompson) Nehl

Gladys Mae Nehl, 93 of Union Mills passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at home. She was born July 22, 1927 in Pinhook, Indiana to Devere and Gladys (Garwood) Thompson. On September 27, 1947 in Pinhook, she married George Joseph Nehl who passed away January 3, 2013. Gladys is survived by her children Roy Joseph (Cindy) Nehl of Russiaville, Indiana and Joseph George (Elizabeth) Nehl of Union Mills, her daughter-in-law Susie Nehl of Union Mills, eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren; her brother George Thompson of LaPorte, sisters Mary Sue Link of Winamac, and Leota (Wilbur) Dadlow of LaPorte. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Donald Robert Nehl, her parents, brothers Devere and Calvin and her sister Sarah. Private family services are being held. Her final resting spot will be in Union Mills Cemetery. Newhard Funeral Home in Westville is in charge of arrangements.
