James Musgrave Obituary

James E. Musgrave, Sr, 83 of Westville, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Chesterton. He was born December 12, 1936 in Gary to George Thomas and Mabel Pearl (Weck) Musgrave,  James is survived by his children Lori (Joseph) Kazmierzak of Missouri, Kathy Wilkey of Haskel Heights, Jim (Starla) Musgrave, Jr. of LaPorte, John Musgrave of Otis, Susan (Anton) Settele of Valparaiso, Andrew Musgrave of Otis, Paul Musgrave of South Bend, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Jack Musgrave of Kokomo, Indiana, his sister Jan Rippe of Westville and his longtime companion Bernadine Yorek of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Joshua Musgrave and Jasper Fort, his parents, and nine brothers and sisters. James was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis and a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Burns Bailing where he was a mechanic and also worked for AMI Metals in Michigan City. Due to the existing CO-VID 19 limitations and guidelines visitation and funeral will be private at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Otis.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Mental Health Association, 402 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso, IN 46383 or the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr. Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202
