Louisa Mae (Agate) Boo

Louisa Mae (Agate) Boo was born February 06, 1927, on a farm in Newton County in Indiana between Mt. Ayr and Brook. She died on April 14, 2023, in Wilton Manors, FL. Formerly of Westville, IN and Ft. Myers, FL. Survived by four sons, Thomas (wife Lynn) of Chesterton, IN, Dennis (wife Trish) of Granger, IN, Jeffery (wife Mary Anne) of North Judson, IN and Robert (husband Andres) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Glenn, her sisters Betty Hilton and Kate Hickman, and granddaughter Brooklyn. She is also survived by grandchildren Lisa, Laurie, Lindsey, Gregory, Natalie, Jason; and 18 great-grandchildren. Louisa graduated from Mt. Ayr High School. Louisa was a homemaker for many years but did work and retired from the US Post Office in Westville, IN after twenty-five years of service. She was active in the Fort Myers and Westville United Methodist Church and volunteered her time for many years at the Resale Shop in Westville. Louisa traveled all over the world with her sisters, her husband and friends exploring new places but was always glad to be back home with loved ones. Louisa loved to laugh, enjoy life and had an infectious smile. She was loved by many wherever she went. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 03, 2023, at the Westville United Methodist in Westville, IN at 11:00 a.m. A light luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall immediately after. Internment of the ashes in the Westville Cemetery will follow with family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in Louisa’s honor.
