Orville Stacy, 66 of LaPorte, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at sister’s residence in Ober. He was born May 1, 1952 in Knox, Indiana to Shelby and Carrie (Miller) Stacy. In October of 1996 he married Georgia Thompson who survives. Also surviving him are his daughter Jessica Thompson of LaPorte, granddaughter Sierra Lee Rea Thompson, his sisters Allene (Wendell) Mullins of Grovertown, Lola Stacy of Ober, Loretta Fay Lovely of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, his brothers Burlie (Cheryl) Stacy of Knox, Kenneth Wayne (Tammy) Stacy of Knox, Alfred Dale (Charlene) Stacy of Noblesville, and Walter Clark (Tracy) Stacy of Ober. He was preceded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law Richard and Joyce Thompson. Orville worked as a truck driver at Thompson Trucking for many years before retiring. He was a member of the North Central Antique Tractor Puller’s Association. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 24th at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Farley Mullins will officiate. Burial will be in Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
