Vivian Lee (Green) Tolson Whorwell

Vivian Lee Tolson Whorwell, 72 of Westville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in LaPorte. She was born March 17, 1947 in LaPorte to Marion “Bud” and Genevieve “Mimi” (Bredsche) Green. On September 4, 2004 she married Jack Whorwell who passed away December 9, 2004.  Vivian is survived by her children Danny (Lori) Tolson of North Judson, Kelli Van Meter of LaPorte, Angie (Michael Stroud) Moser of LaPoprte, Son-in-Law Gary Van Meter, five grandchildren Austin Tolson, Alex Moser, Alicia Tolson, Andria Van Meter, Nicholas Moser, and her sister Rosie (late Louie) Hansford of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Danny Lee Green. Vivian, alongside her mom Mimi, worked for Mimi’s Flower Shop in Westville for many years. More recently, she was employed at the Westville Correctional Center. Vivian was a 1965 Westville High School graduate and a member of the Westville American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18th at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
