William R. Hunsley

William R. Hunsley, 86, of Hanna, passed away on July 17, 2023, in Valparaiso.  He was born on October 25, 1936, in Hanna, to Oca G. and Elsie (Shei) Hunsley.  On June 21, 1959, in Westville, Indiana, he married Maxine A. Gemberling, who survives him.  William worked as a journeyman millwright at McGill Manufacturing before his retirement. He was also a 30 year member of Kairos of Indiana. He enjoyed tending to his gardens over the years.  He is survived by his children William M. Hunsley of LaPorte, Rochelle A. Hunsley of Hanna, Karin K. Hunsley of Hanna, and Darin R. Hunsley of Hanna.  William is also survived by grandchildren Aubree, Ashlee, Grant, and Brandon; and great grandchildren Logan, Savannah, Briar, Braxton, Andrew, Grace, Hazel, Amelia, and Charlotte. A visitation for William will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Hanna United Methodist Church, 101 W. Hopper St., Hanna, IN., 46340, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Randy Schrock officiating.  Burial will be at Hanna Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Hanna United Methodist Church or Kairos of Indiana.
